The Income Tax Calculator compares the two tax regimes available to individuals in India for FY 2026-27 (assessment year 2027-28). Enter your gross income, whether you are salaried, your age and — for the old regime — your total deductions. It shows the taxable income, slab tax, rebate, surcharge, cess and total tax under each regime.
The slabs were not changed in Budget 2026. The new regime has lower rates and a ₹75,000 standard deduction but few deductions; the old regime allows 80C, 80D, HRA and more. Use the Take Home Paycheck Calculator for monthly in-hand pay and the Salary Calculator to convert pay periods.
