Work out your weighted course grade and the score you need on the final exam.
Multiply each grade by its weight, add the results and divide by the total weight. 92% (20%), 78% (30%), 88% (20%) and 70% (30%) give 80.4%, a B−. For a final: needed = (target − current × (1 − w)) ÷ w.
The Grade Calculator has two tools. The weighted grade calculator combines assignments, tests and exams — each with its own percentage grade and weight — into one overall grade and letter. The final exam planner tells you what you must score on the final to reach the grade you want, given your current grade and the exam's weight.
Use it to plan study time, check a teacher's gradebook or see whether a target is still realistic. For grade-point averages across courses use the GPA Calculator.
Both tools use weighted averages.

Letter-grade cut-offs and weighting rules differ between schools, boards and universities — and many use percentages, divisions or CGPA rather than letters. Use the numeric result and apply your institution's own scale.
Multiply each grade by its weight, add the products, then divide by the total of the weights.
Use (target − current × (1 − w)) ÷ w, where w is the final exam's weight as a decimal. This tool does it for you.
The calculator divides by the total of the weights you entered, so the result is still a valid weighted average of those items.
If the required score is above 100%, the target grade cannot be reached with the final alone.
You have already secured the grade — even a 0 on the final keeps you above it.
A B− on this scale; scales vary by school.
Enter percentages. If you have points, divide the points earned by the points possible and multiply by 100.
Enter grades above 100% if your teacher allows it; the calculator accepts any grade of 0 or more.
No. A weighted grade is a course percentage; GPA averages grade points across courses.
