See who links to you and to your competitors, find links you are losing, and audit the internal and outbound links on your own site.
Thirteen link tools. The internal-link, external-link, anchor and rel-attribute tools run on a crawl of your own site; backlink data comes from a third-party provider.
Enter your domain in the backlink checker to see total backlinks, referring domains and your strongest links, then run the link gap analyzer with two or three competitors to list websites that link to them but not to you. Use the broken backlink finder to recover links that point at pages that no longer work. For links on your own site, the internal and external link tools crawl your pages and flag weak or broken links.
Links remain one of the strongest signals search engines use. Websolindia split link analysis into two honest halves: links you can see by crawling your own site, and links from other sites, which no crawler of ours can see.
Internal links, outbound links, anchor text and rel attributes are measured directly from your pages, so they are free and exact for the pages crawled. Backlinks — who links to you — require a backlink index, so those tools use a data provider and show clear messages when it is not connected.
Where the data allows, the tools combine sources: the broken backlink finder takes backlinks from the provider and then checks every linked page on your site live, so the 'broken' verdict is verified, not guessed.
Pick a tool from the tabs above. This table shows what each one does and whether it needs an API key.
| Tool | What it does | Data source |
|---|---|---|
| Backlink checker | Total backlinks and referring domains for a website, plus its strongest individual backlinks with anchor text, follow status and spam score. | Needs DataForSEO |
| Referring domains checker | Every website linking to you, strongest first — with how many links each gives, its authority rank and spam score. | Needs DataForSEO |
| Competitor backlink analysis | Compare your backlink profile with up to three competitors side by side: backlinks, referring domains, authority, spam and broken links. | Needs DataForSEO |
| Backlink gap analyzer | Find websites that link to your competitors but not to you — your best outreach targets — ranked by authority and by how many competitors they link to. | Needs DataForSEO |
| Link intersect tool | Domains that link to two or more of your competitors — shown with whether they already link to you. | Needs DataForSEO |
| Broken backlink finder | Finds other websites linking to pages on your site that no longer work — each one is a link you are losing. Fix it with a 301 redirect to the best matching live page. | Needs DataForSEO |
| Lost and new backlinks monitor | New and lost backlinks and referring domains over time, plus the most recent individual links gained and lost. | Needs DataForSEO |
| Internal link analyzer | Crawl your site and see how link equity flows: which pages get the most internal links, which get almost none, how deep pages sit, and which links use weak anchor text. | Built-in — no API key |
| External link checker | Lists every website your pages link out to, checks each link still works, and flags broken, redirecting and risky ones. | Built-in — no API key |
| Anchor text distribution report | How your links are worded: branded, keyword, generic, naked-URL and empty anchors — for the links on your own site and, with DataForSEO, for the backlinks pointing to you. An unnatural spread of exact-match anchors is a spam signal. | Built-in + optional DataForSEO |
| Nofollow, sponsored and UGC link analysis | Counts follow, nofollow, sponsored and UGC links on your site and flags paid-looking or affiliate links that are missing rel="sponsored" — a Google guidelines issue. | Built-in — no API key |
| Link reclamation opportunities | Backlinks you can win back: links that were lost from strong sites, links that point at pages that are now broken, and unlinked-to-redirectable URLs — each with the action to take. | Needs DataForSEO |
| Toxic-link review indicators | Flags referring domains and anchors with spam indicators — high provider spam score, mass links from one domain, spam-word anchors — so you can review them. These are indicators, not verdicts. | Needs DataForSEO |
| Tool | Method |
|---|---|
| Backlink checker, referring domains | Reads the provider's backlink index: counts, rank, spam score, follow status and first-seen dates |
| Gap analyzer | Fetches each site's top 500 referring domains by authority; lists domains linking to a competitor but not to you, ranked by how many competitors they link to |
| Intersect | Domains linking to two or more competitors, with whether they already link to you |
| Broken backlinks | Takes the strongest 200 backlinks, checks every distinct target page on your site live, reports those returning an error |
| Internal links | Crawls up to 60 pages; counts distinct inbound links per page; flags pages with 0–1 inbound links and generic or empty anchors |
| Anchor distribution | Classifies each anchor as branded, naked URL, generic, empty/image or keyword; warns when over half of backlink anchors are keyword-style or contain spam words |
| Toxic indicators | Flags domains at or above your chosen spam score, large link counts from low-authority sites, and spam-word anchors — for manual review only |
Internal links, external links and rel-attribute analysis need no key. Everything that shows other sites' links needs DataForSEO.
| Provider | What it unlocks | How the site owner enables it |
|---|---|---|
| DataForSEO | Backlinks, search volume, keyword difficulty, live rankings, SERP features, competitor keywords and traffic estimates, Google Maps data | dfs_login and dfs_password in seo-tool/api/config.php |
| Topic | What to know |
|---|---|
| No index sees every link | Backlink databases are incomplete and differ from each other; use counts to compare, not as exact totals. |
| Provider metrics | Authority rank and spam score are the provider's own, not Google's. |
| Disavow | The toxic-link tool gives indicators only. Google says it ignores most spammy links and disavowing is rarely needed. |
| Crawl size | Internal and external link tools crawl up to 60 pages and check up to 60 external links per run. |
| Gap analysis depth | Gap and intersect compare each site's top 500 referring domains. |
A referring domain is a distinct website that links to you. Ten links from one site count as one referring domain, which is why referring domains is usually a better strength measure than raw backlink count.
It lists websites that link to your competitors but not to you. Those sites already care about your topic, so they are your best outreach prospects.
It is another site linking to a page on your website that now returns an error such as 404. Redirect the broken URL with a 301 to the closest live page and you recover the link's value.
No. They are labels. Use rel=sponsored for paid or affiliate links, rel=ugc for user-generated content and nofollow when you do not want to vouch for a link. The rel analysis tool flags affiliate-looking links missing rel=sponsored.
Usually not. Review them, and only consider disavowing if you have a manual action or a large, clearly manipulative pattern you cannot get removed.
Most natural profiles are dominated by branded, naked-URL and generic anchors. A large share of exact-match keyword anchors can look manipulative.
The built-in tools on this page are free and need no sign-up. Features that rely on third-party data (marked in the table above) only work when the site owner has connected that provider, because those providers charge per request. Visitors are never charged.
No. Addresses and keywords are used only to run your request and are not stored on our servers. A few tools save their own history (rankings, reviews, workspace data) in your browser's local storage so you can see change over time; clearing site data removes it.
Built-in checks read the public HTML your server returns and apply published rules, so they are repeatable and explainable. Estimates (traffic, visibility share, difficulty) are directional. Always confirm important findings in Google Search Console and your analytics.
They are built by the Websolindia team — a website design and SEO company in New Delhi, India, serving businesses since 2014. Every tool explains how it calculates results so you can check the logic.
