Score a page for a target keyword, build writer-ready briefs from top-ranking pages, plan topic clusters and find the topics your competitors cover and you do not.
Twelve content tools. They read your page and competitor pages directly, so no paid data is needed; an optional AI key adds rewrite suggestions.
Paste your page address and target keyword into the SEO content score checker. It scores keyword placement in the title, H1, intro and URL, keyword density, length, readability, structure, links and images out of 100 and tells you exactly what to fix. Then use the content brief and missing-topic tools to compare with competitors and cover what they cover.
Content SEO is part writing and part measurement. Websolindia built these tools to take the measurable half off your plate: placement, structure, readability, freshness and coverage — so writers can focus on being genuinely useful.
Several tools compare your page with the pages that already rank. They extract the headings, terms and entities competitors use and show where your page falls short, rather than guessing from a generic checklist.
The optional AI assistant can rewrite a draft, but it is clearly separated: the rule-based review always runs first, and AI output is labelled so you can check it before using it.
Pick a tool from the tabs above. This table shows what each one does and whether it needs an API key.
| Tool | What it does | Data source |
|---|---|---|
| SEO content score checker | Score a page (or pasted draft) for a target keyword: keyword placement in title, H1, intro and URL, density, length, readability, structure, links and images. | Built-in — no API key |
| AI content optimization assistant | Paste a draft and a keyword: get concrete line-by-line fixes (long sentences, passive voice, weak words, keyword gaps). Optionally have OpenAI or Gemini rewrite it for you. | Built-in + optional AI rewrite |
| Blog title and meta generator | Generate click-worthy title and meta-description options with live length checks (titles ≤ 60 characters, descriptions 120–155). | Built-in — no API key |
| Content brief generator | Give a keyword and 2–5 top-ranking competitor URLs: get target length, the headings competitors use, terms to include, questions to answer and a writer-ready brief. With DataForSEO connected it finds the competitors for you. | Built-in + optional DataForSEO |
| Topic cluster planner | Turn one pillar topic into a cluster plan: supporting article ideas pulled from real search suggestions, grouped by theme, with the internal-link map. | Built-in — no API key |
| Content freshness checker | Finds when a page was published and last updated (meta tags, schema, time tags, server header) and flags old year references and stale statistics. | Built-in — no API key |
| Readability analyzer | Reading ease, grade level, reading time and the hardest sentences to fix first — for a page or pasted text. | Built-in — no API key |
| Semantic keyword recommendations | Compare your page with top-ranking competitors and see the related words and phrases they use that you do not — the natural vocabulary of the topic. | Built-in — no API key |
| FAQ and schema suggestions | Finds the questions a page already asks, suggests more from real search suggestions, and builds ready-to-paste FAQPage JSON-LD from your Question/Answer text. | Built-in — no API key |
| Content cannibalization detection | Crawl a site and find pages that compete for the same topic — near-duplicate titles, headings and URLs — with a recommended fix for each group. Pages about the same service in different cities are treated as different intents. | Built-in — no API key |
| Competitor content comparison | Put your page next to up to three competitors: length, structure, links, media, readability, schema and freshness — and see where you fall short. | Built-in — no API key |
| Missing topic and entity finder | Finds subtopics (headings), entities (names, brands, places) and terms that competitors cover and your page leaves out. | Built-in — no API key |
| Check | Weight | Pass rule |
|---|---|---|
| Keyword in title | 10 | Exact phrase in the title tag |
| Keyword in H1 | 8 | Exact phrase in the H1 |
| Keyword in first 100 words | 8 | Phrase appears in the opening |
| Keyword density | 8 | Between about 0.4% and 2.5% |
| Content length | 10 | 800+ words passes; 400–799 earns half |
| Readability | 10 | Flesch reading ease 60+ passes; 40–59 earns half |
| Meta description | 6 | Contains the keyword |
| URL | 5 | Slug contains the keyword |
| Subheadings, internal links, images | 5 / 4 / 3 | 3+ H2/H3, 3+ internal links, at least one image |
| Paragraph length | 5 | No paragraph over 120 words |
| Lists/tables, questions, schema, external links | 4 / 4 / 2 / 3 | Present on the page |
Readability uses the Flesch reading ease, Flesch-Kincaid grade, Gunning fog and SMOG formulas. Content briefs use the median competitor length, the headings used by the most competitors and terms used by at least half of them. Cannibalization compares titles (weight 0.5), H1s (0.3) and URL words (0.2), ignores generic words and treats pages for different cities as different intents.
All twelve tools work without keys. DataForSEO lets the brief tool find top-ranking pages and People Also Ask questions for you; an OpenAI or Gemini key enables the optional AI rewrite.
| Provider | What it unlocks | How the site owner enables it |
|---|---|---|
| DataForSEO | Backlinks, search volume, keyword difficulty, live rankings, SERP features, competitor keywords and traffic estimates, Google Maps data | dfs_login and dfs_password in seo-tool/api/config.php |
| Perplexity, OpenAI and Google Gemini APIs | Live AI answers and the sources they cite — for visibility, citation and competitor comparison | perplexity_key, openai_key, gemini_key in config.php (any one is enough) |
| Topic | What to know |
|---|---|
| Checklist, not a ranking prediction | A high score means the page follows good practice, not that it will rank. |
| Competitor reading | Pages that block automated access cannot be read; they are skipped. |
| Readability formulas | They are designed for English prose and are a guide, not a verdict. |
| AI rewrites | AI text can contain errors. Always review and fact-check it. |
| Pasted text | Title, URL and link checks are skipped when you paste text instead of a URL. |
80 and above means the page follows good on-page practice for the keyword. Treat the failed checks as a to-do list rather than chasing 100.
Long enough to answer the query completely. The brief tool shows the median length of the pages that rank, which is a better guide than any fixed word count.
It is the share of words taken up by the keyword. Roughly 0.5–2% reads naturally; much higher can look like keyword stuffing.
A brief tells a writer the target length, outline, questions to answer, terms to cover and entities to mention for a keyword, based on what already ranks.
Keep the strongest page, merge or redirect the others into it, or re-target each page to a distinct intent. The cannibalization tool suggests which page to keep.
Only real updates help. Changing a date without improving the page is not a ranking tactic; use the freshness checker to find genuinely out-of-date pages.
The built-in tools on this page are free and need no sign-up. Features that rely on third-party data (marked in the table above) only work when the site owner has connected that provider, because those providers charge per request. Visitors are never charged.
No. Addresses and keywords are used only to run your request and are not stored on our servers. A few tools save their own history (rankings, reviews, workspace data) in your browser's local storage so you can see change over time; clearing site data removes it.
Built-in checks read the public HTML your server returns and apply published rules, so they are repeatable and explainable. Estimates (traffic, visibility share, difficulty) are directional. Always confirm important findings in Google Search Console and your analytics.
They are built by the Websolindia team — a website design and SEO company in New Delhi, India, serving businesses since 2014. Every tool explains how it calculates results so you can check the logic.
