Benchmark your site against competitors: audit scores, authority, who ranks on page one, keywords they win, estimated traffic and share of search.
Eleven competitor tools. Site audits and content gaps run directly; rankings, keyword gaps and traffic estimates use DataForSEO; AI citation comparison uses the AI engine APIs.
Run the competitor website analyzer to compare audit scores side by side, then use the top-ranking pages report to see what page-one results have in common. The keyword gap tool lists terms your competitor ranks for that you do not, and share of search shows how much search visibility each site holds across your keywords.
You rank relative to other sites, so competitor analysis shows where to focus. Websolindia built tools for each layer: how competitors' sites are built, which pages rank, which keywords they win and how visible they are overall.
The competitor website analyzer reuses the full Websolindia SEO audit engine on each site, so scores are directly comparable. Content gap compares crawled pages, and ranking history reads what your trackers have saved in your browser.
Anything based on rankings or estimates is labelled as such, with the method on this page.
Pick a tool from the tabs above. This table shows what each one does and whether it needs an API key.
| Tool | What it does | Data source |
|---|---|---|
| Website authority metrics | Compare the link-based authority of up to five websites using a third-party provider (DataForSEO): domain rank, backlinks, referring domains and spam score. These are provider metrics, not Google's. | Needs DataForSEO |
| Competitor website analyzer | Runs the Websolindia SEO audit on your site and up to two competitors and compares scores category by category, plus the technical details that explain the gaps. | Built-in — no API key |
| Top-ranking pages report | For a keyword, reads the pages that rank on page one and reports what they have in common: length, structure, HTTPS, schema and title patterns — a blueprint for the page you need to beat. | Needs DataForSEO |
| Top 10, 20 and 50 SERP analysis | Analyse the first 10, 20 or 50 results for a keyword: which domains dominate, what types of site rank, how long titles are and how deep the URLs sit. | Needs DataForSEO |
| SERP feature checker | Which special results (featured snippet, People Also Ask, AI Overview, local pack, video, shopping…) appear for your keywords — and what each means for how you should write. | Needs DataForSEO |
| Ranking history | Everything the ranking trackers have saved in this browser, as a trend per keyword: latest, best and worst position and the movement over time. (Run the Keyword ranking tracker or Local rank tracker regularly to build history.) | Built-in — no API key |
| Competitor keyword gap | Keywords your competitor ranks for on page one or two that you do not rank for (or rank far worse) — with search volume, sorted by opportunity. | Needs DataForSEO |
| Competitor content gap | Crawls your site and a competitor's and lists the topics (pages) they cover that you have nothing close to — a content roadmap based on real pages, with no paid data needed. | Built-in — no API key |
| Traffic estimates | Estimated monthly organic search traffic (and its ad-cost equivalent) for up to four domains, based on the keywords they rank for. Estimates only — not analytics. | Needs DataForSEO |
| Share of search visibility | For a set of keywords, how much of the search visibility does each site hold? Click-weighted positions (#1 ≈ 30%, #2 ≈ 15% …) summed per domain across your keywords. | Needs DataForSEO |
| Competitor AI citation comparison | Ask AI engines your market's questions and compare how often each domain is cited as a source — you versus up to four competitors. | Needs an AI engine key |
| Position | Share of clicks | Position | Share of clicks |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 30% | 6 | 4% |
| 2 | 15% | 7 | 3% |
| 3 | 10% | 8 | 2.5% |
| 4 | 7% | 9 | 2% |
| 5 | 5% | 10 | 1.8% |
Share of search sums these click shares for each domain across your keywords (positions 11–20 use smaller values), then divides by the total for the domains you entered. Traffic estimates come from the provider and combine ranking, search volume and expected click-through. Keyword gap lists keywords where the competitor ranks in the top 20 and you do not rank, plus keywords where they are 10 or more places ahead.
The competitor website analyzer, competitor content gap and ranking history need no key. Authority, SERP, keyword gap, traffic and share-of-search use DataForSEO; AI citation comparison uses the AI engine keys.
| Provider | What it unlocks | How the site owner enables it |
|---|---|---|
| DataForSEO | Backlinks, search volume, keyword difficulty, live rankings, SERP features, competitor keywords and traffic estimates, Google Maps data | dfs_login and dfs_password in seo-tool/api/config.php |
| Perplexity, OpenAI and Google Gemini APIs | Live AI answers and the sources they cite — for visibility, citation and competitor comparison | perplexity_key, openai_key, gemini_key in config.php (any one is enough) |
| Topic | What to know |
|---|---|
| Estimates | Traffic and visibility share are estimates; compare sites rather than treating them as analytics. |
| Provider authority | Authority rank is the provider's metric, not Google's. |
| Quick audits | Competitor audits crawl 8 pages each; use the full analyzer for depth. |
| SERP snapshots | Results depend on location and time. |
| Content gap | Judged from titles and headings of crawled pages; a topic may be covered inside a longer page. |
They are the sites that rank for your target keywords, which are not always your business competitors. The SERP analyzer and top-ranking pages report show who they are.
It is the set of keywords a competitor ranks for that you do not. It is a ready-made list of content opportunities.
It estimates how much of the available visibility each site holds across a set of keywords, using click-through rates for each ranking position.
They can differ widely from real analytics. Use them to compare relative size between sites.
They are special results such as featured snippets, People Also Ask, video, local packs and AI Overviews. They change how clicks are distributed.
Monthly is enough for most businesses; check sooner after a major site change or algorithm update.
The built-in tools on this page are free and need no sign-up. Features that rely on third-party data (marked in the table above) only work when the site owner has connected that provider, because those providers charge per request. Visitors are never charged.
No. Addresses and keywords are used only to run your request and are not stored on our servers. A few tools save their own history (rankings, reviews, workspace data) in your browser's local storage so you can see change over time; clearing site data removes it.
Built-in checks read the public HTML your server returns and apply published rules, so they are repeatable and explainable. Estimates (traffic, visibility share, difficulty) are directional. Always confirm important findings in Google Search Console and your analytics.
They are built by the Websolindia team — a website design and SEO company in New Delhi, India, serving businesses since 2014. Every tool explains how it calculates results so you can check the logic.
