How do I use the Image Compressor to Under 100 KB?

To compress an image to under 100 KB, add your picture above, leave the target at 100 KB (or pick 20, 50, 200 or 500) and press Compress. The tool searches for the highest quality that fits, and reduces the pixel size only if needed. It stays below 100,000 bytes, so it passes forms that count 1,000 or 1,024 bytes per KB.

About the Image Compressor to Under 100 KB by Websolindia

Hit a file-size limit without guessing. Tell the tool the size you need, such as 100 KB for an online form, and it finds the best quality that fits, shrinking the pixel dimensions only when quality alone is not enough. It is a free tool from Websolindia, a New Delhi website design and SEO company that builds fast, image-optimised websites.

Unlike most online image tools, this one does not upload your pictures. Your browser decodes each image, re-encodes it with an open-source compression engine and shows you the exact before and after sizes. You can process up to 30 images at a time and download them one by one or together as a ZIP.

Once your image is ready, you may also want the JPG Image Compressor Online, the JPG Image Resizer Online or the WebP Image Compressor Online. All of our free image tools are listed in the Image Compressor Tools collection and the Websolindia Image Converter.

When to Use the Image Compressor to Under 100 KB

  • Online application forms and portals that limit photo or document uploads to 50, 100 or 200 KB.
  • Email attachments and chat apps with strict size limits.
  • Profile pictures and thumbnails for websites with upload caps.
  • Any case where you know the maximum size but not which quality setting reaches it.

What to Watch For

  • Very small targets on large photos may need a lot of pixel reduction; the result then looks smaller as well as softer.
  • The tool keeps quality above your chosen minimum before it shrinks the image. Lower the minimum if you prefer to keep more pixels.
  • If even the smallest size we try cannot reach the target, you get the smallest result we could make and a clear message.
  • Check the rules of the form you are filling in: some require exact dimensions as well as a size limit. Use the JPG Image Resizer Online for exact sizes.

How We Process Your Images — Our Method

This is exactly what happens to your image, with no hidden step. You can check that nothing is uploaded by watching your browser's network tab while you use the tool.

Image Compressor to Under 100 KB — Frequently Asked Questions

Is 100 KB 100,000 or 102,400 bytes?

Different forms count differently. We aim below 100,000 bytes, which is under the limit whichever definition a form uses.

Will the image be resized?

Only if lowering the quality to your minimum is not enough. You can switch this off, and the tool will then keep the full size and tell you if the target cannot be reached.

What quality will I get?

The highest that fits. For a typical 3 to 12 megapixel photo and a 100 KB target the pixel size is usually reduced; our 2 MB test photograph became about 92 KB.

Can I compress a PNG or a HEIC photo to 100 KB?

Yes. Any supported image is accepted. PNG with transparency is saved as WebP automatically to keep the transparency; choose JPG to fill it with a colour instead.

My form needs exact dimensions too. What should I do?

First set the exact pixel size with the JPG Image Resizer Online, then run this tool with the dimensions kept (switch off pixel reduction).

Can I target 20 KB, 50 KB or 200 KB?

Yes. Type any size from 1 to 5,000 KB or use the preset buttons.

Is the Image Compressor to Under 100 KB free to use?

Yes. It is free, needs no sign-up, adds no watermark and has no daily limit. It is provided by Websolindia.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Your images are read and processed inside your browser on your own device. They are never sent to Websolindia or anyone else, which is why the tool is safe for private photos.

Does the tool keep EXIF and location data?

No. New files are created from the pixels, so camera details, GPS location and other embedded metadata are not copied. Keep your originals if you need that information.

How many images and how large can they be?

Up to 30 images per batch and 150 MB per image. Images above roughly 120 megapixels are declined with a clear message rather than freezing your browser.

Which browsers and devices does it work on?

Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on computers, phones and tablets. Large images and AI or AVIF features run faster on a computer.

Who made this Compress to 100 KB?
